We continue our strong partnership with conservation charity Free the Bears to construct new community conservation and wildlife classrooms at their bear sanctuary in Laos. Building Trust International was asked to assist with the design of a new wildlife classroom, enabling Free the Bears to host local and international groups of all ages for one- to five-day programmes at their rescued bear sanctuary in Laos. These classrooms allow the charity to deliver tailor-made schedules filled with engaging and interactive lessons, games and activities focused on wildlife, the environment, and the fundamentals of conservation and sustainability.

Using a hands-on approach to environmental education, Free the Bears invites groups to support the bear care team by preparing food and creating toys and treats for the bears, such as bamboo logs, grass baskets and treat balls.

The interactive classrooms provide an inspiring space to stimulate young minds around environmental issues, featuring colourful animal wall murals and self-learning areas.
